Scrapbooking Ideas for Black and White Photos

Hello!  Today I'm sharing a layout featuring black and white photos.  This is rare for me, because I love color photos.  However, on this day I was experimenting with a camera feature that creates HDR black and white photos.  Just love how they turned out.

Black and White Photos Make a Statement

These black and white photos standout on this layout, because they contrast with all the colors of the scrapbook paper.

Black and White Embellishments

I decided adding handmade camera embellishments would be perfect, because this layout is about taking pictures in a garden.  These black and white embellishments act as a bridge between the black and white photos, and the colorful scrapbook paper and embellishments.  Additionally, I get the opportunity to use my collection of photography related stamps.

I stamped the camera on watercolor paper, because it adds texture to the camera.  In addition to giving the camera a bit of texture, the watercolor paper is also a slightly different white.

Top Cluster

I like adding the date and location to vacation layouts, so this "Snapshot Details" stamp is a perfect accent.  This cluster also contains a fussy cut camera that is stamped with black Ranger Archival ink on watercolor paper.  My favorite stamp block is the Martha Stewart stamp mount, because it has foam legs allowing for perfect positioning.  Adding a round sticker from the sticker sheet, a few strips of washi tape and some resin roses completes the cluster.

Title Cluster

In the title cluster I repeated some of the same elements, but changed them up a bit.  I used the same watercolor paper and black ink, however this time I selected a different camera stamp.  The black Thicker and tiny letter title makes a bold statement on the layout.

Journal Spot

I love this journal spot stamp with the camera accent.  Again, this cluster repeats some of the same elements and shapes.  This repetition, even though it is varied a bit, helps to give the layout a cohesive look.
